University Tours

Faculty, staff, and student groups are welcome to schedule a visit to the museum Wednesday through Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm; Mondays and Tuesdays the museum is closed and requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Curator guided visits typically last one hour and can be tailored to individual course objectives or interests. Please fill out the form even if you intend to lead a tour without curatorial support so that our visitor services staff knows where to direct people as they arrive.

Art viewings of objects not currently on view can also be scheduled to facilitate class discussions on specific topics. Prior to an art viewing, faculty are expected to work with curatorial or collections staff to identify objects for their class.

Requests must be scheduled a minimum of two (2) weeks in advance. Visits during weeks 4-6 of the term are especially popular, so we encourage you to submit your form ASAP.

Community Groups

Tour guides integrate the internationally acclaimed approach of Visual Thinking Strategies to help visitors enhance their understanding of the collection and/or exhibitions.
