Art Heals
Art Heals is an innovative and groundbreaking wellness program at the UO’s Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art. In partnership with Samaritan Health Services, Oregon Health & Science University, Stahlbush Island Farms, and the Institute for Mind Body Medicine, JSMA museum educators create and lead sessions for a diverse range of populations across the state.
“It’s refreshing. I can put my thoughts into a totally different context - in fact, it often helps me process my thoughts and emotions in a more coherent way. The humanity in art is grounding - helps me calm myself, helps me realize I am human.”
