American Alliance of Museums

The only academic art museum in Oregon accredited by the American Alliance of Museums, the University of Oregon’s Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art (JSMA) features engaging exhibitions, significant collections of historic and contemporary art, and exciting educational programs that support the university’s academic mission and the diverse interests of its off-campus communities.

The Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art is located in Eugene, Oregon on the western side of the University of Oregon campus next to the Knight Library. 

From the North

I-5 south to exit 194B onto
I-105 west to Coburg Road exit
Turn left onto Coburg Road
Cross Ferry Street Bridge, stay in left hand lane
Merge left onto East Broadway/Franklin Blvd
Turn right onto Alder Street
Turn left onto 13th Street
Ample street parking is located near 14th and Kincaid Streets

The museum is located 1 block east of 14th and Kincaid Streets on the University of Oregon campus

From the South

I-5 north to exit 192 onto
Franklin Blvd west to East 11th Street
Merge left onto East 11th Street
Turn left onto Alder Street
Turn left onto 13th Street
Ample street parking is located near 14th and Kincaid Streets
The museum is located 1 block east of 14th and Kincaid Streets on the University of Oregon campus

Public Transportation

Lane Transit District buses stopping at the University of Oregon provide convenient access to the museum. Call LTD at (541) 687-5555 for more information.

Parking

Visitors are encouraged to park in Lot 16A, located at 14th Ave. and Kincaid St., which offers free public parking on weekends and is conveniently located near the museum.

Designated spaces are available in the JSMA Parking Lot for visitors with disabilities.

To access the JSMA Parking Lot, from 18th Avenue, turn North on University St; turn left onto Johnson Lane (at the roundabout outside the Erb Memorial Union); JSMA Parking lot is at the end of Johnson Lane on your left. Visitors may enter through the back entrance to get a parking permit.

Service Animals

Service animals are welcome in the JSMA.

Wheelchair Accessibility

The JSMA is accessible to wheelchair users and other visitors who need to avoid stairs. Ramps lead into the front entrance and visitors with mobility issues may enter through the back security entrance.  

Wheelchair Loans

A wheelchair is available free of charge from our security entrance on a first-come, first-served basis. Advance reservations are not available.
