Mindful Meditation
A one-hour guided meditation session in the Gateway to Himalayan Art exhibition, led by Dr. Michael Franklin, artist, art therapist, contemplative practitioner, and educator from Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado. Surrounded by the sacred imagery and symbolic forms of Himalayan art, participants will be invited to slow down, settle into the space, and engage in contemplative meditation practices.
Michael will guide the group through simple mindfulness techniques that encourage presence, reflection, and a deeper connection with the artworks around us. This session offers a unique opportunity to experience the exhibition not only as viewers but as participants experimenting with meditative awareness practices. No prior meditation experience is necessary.
Space is limited; please email artheals@uoregon.edu to reserve a spot.
Reservations are required. Reservations close on Friday, May 15.
