Mindful Looking and Making

A mindful making workshop inspired by the exhibition Gateway to Himalayan Art. This hour-and-a-half-long session will begin upstairs in the galleries with a slow looking experience focused on Mandalas, inviting participants to pause, observe closely, and reflect on the intricate patterns, symbolism, and spiritual meaning within these artworks.

After spending time in quiet observation, we will move downstairs to the studio for an hour-long hands-on Mandala drawing activity. Participants will create their own Mandala artwork, exploring drawing as a contemplative practice and focusing on process rather than outcome. All art materials will be provided.

Space is limited to 20 participants; please email artheals@uoregon.edu to reserve a spot.

Reservations are required. Reservations close on Thursday, June 18.
