Art Heals
Mindful Looking
Join us for a reflective gallery experience in Gateway to Himalayan Art, inspired by art and traditions that emphasize spirituality, ritual, and interconnectedness. Guided by museum educators, this hour-long Mindful Looking program invites participants to explore the intersections of art, contemplation, and community through close engagement with selected works from the exhibition.
Through guided observation, quiet reflection, and facilitated discussion, participants will consider how Himalayan artworks communicate shared beliefs, cultural values, and connections across time and place. Together, we will reflect on themes of journey, memory, and belonging. This session encourages participants to slow down, be present, and experience art as a pathway to mindfulness, reflection, and shared understanding. No previous art experience is required.
All materials are provided. Space is limited; please email artheals@uoregon.edu to reserve a spot.
Registration is required for participation in the program. Please sign up by Friday, March 13. Same-day registration will not be accepted.
