Exhibition Talk: Twenty-Four Seasons: Critical Temporality and Qiu Zhijie’s Light Writing

Join us for an artist talk and dialogue with Qiu Zhijie and Yan Geng along with distinguished China- and US-based contemporary Chinese art specialists Jane DeBevoise, Johnson Chang, Nancy Lin, and Mia Yinxing Liu. Moderated by Anne Rose Kitagawa. Chinese artist Qiu Zhijie, who is the focus of two current JSMA exhibitions, recently founded the first AI art school in China and is a pioneer in the interdisciplinary work between art and technology, neuroscience as well as artificial intelligence. There will also be an opportunity to tour the exhibitions and experience a special viewing of a related handscroll by the artist.
