Curator Talk: Fluid Continuity

Celebrating the 2025-2026 Korean art exhibition, Fluid Continuity: Rethinking Korean Art in the Contemporary Age, enjoy a Curator Talk by Soojin Jeong and Suhyun Hwang. To shed light on the “continuous modern narrative of Korean art history since the turn of the 20th century,” the exhibition will feature diverse artworks and cultural objects from the premodern period through the present, classified by six prominent traditional practices/mediums in Korean art: celadon of Goryeo dynasty, buncheong and white porcelain of Joseon dynasty, and Korean paper, silk, and wood. The talk will offer an academic/scholarly investigation of the exhibition, exploring its historical/cultural context, for students, faculty members, and visitors whose interests are in the Asia-related field. It will be followed by a gallery visit where you can closely engage with curators and works on view.
