Community & Connections Monthly Meet-Up - Creative Aging Program
Join us for a monthly intergenerational creative arts program designed for older adults, individuals in the early stages of memory loss, and their care partners. Each two-hour-long workshop will include artmaking in the studio and light refreshments. This program offers a positive, engaging, creative aging experience while fostering meaningful social connections.
The March session of Community and Connections will explore themes of spirituality, tradition, and cultural connection through the exhibition Gateway to Himalayan Art at the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art. This workshop will engage with Himalayan Art as a reflection of community life, sacred practices, and shared values, inviting participants to consider how art connects people across generations, geographies, and belief systems.
Space is limited to 10 care teams or 20 individuals, so early registration is encouraged. To register, contact us at artheals@uoregon.edu or call 541-346-6443.
Registration is required for participation in the program. Please sign up by Friday, March 13. Same-day registration will not be accepted.
