K-12 teachers are invited to this professional development workshop led by JSMA Director of Education, Lisa Abia-Smith, focusing on the art of Lesley Dill and other contemporary artists who use language in their work. Participants will utilize Visual Thinking Strategies and receive a copy of a Thinking Through Art Curriculum packet and image resources for teaching. Hands on studio art production and gallery writing activities will be a part of this exciting morning. Teachers traveling from more than 60 miles will receive a small stipend for mileage.
