“The Superheroes Among Us”: Art and Ukrainian Resistance

Please join us in welcoming Sashko Danylenko, a Ukrainian filmmaker, illustrator, and multimedia artist. He will be presenting his illustrated series “The Superheroes Among Us,” which showcases the incredible acts of resistance of ordinary Ukrainians against Russian aggression, including professors who teach from the trenches, women who rescue disabled dogs, and much more. As Danylenko’s manifesto says, “Destroy the enemy with fire, words, pixels, letters, musical notes, laughter, and magic.”
