The JSMA offers a variety of summer camps for young artists. Each week concludes with an art exhibition that families can attend!
Our commitment is to make museum programs accessible to all. Scholarships are available (scholarship application in Spanish) for financial support. Please submit scholarship applications to Yeseul Lee, Museum Educator at yeseull@uoregon.edu.
JSMA Sculpture Design (Spanish/English) Art Camp
July 8-12, 2024
9 a.m. - noon
Ages: 6-11
Join an art camp at the JSMA where campers will explore multiple art mediums, learn many art designing processes, and discover new techniques. Create sculptures focusing on optical and kinetic design in this hands-on exploration of art and culture. Gain experience in drawing, designing, and sculpture with natural objects and recycled materials. Discover the creative possibilities you can make from and be inspired by the museum’s collections.
Camp Tuition $250 ($225 for JSMA Members)

Art Exploration Camp- for Transgender and Gender Diverse Youth
July 22 – 26, 2024
1 – 4 p.m.
Youth grade 6 – 8
Create art in new and familiar mediums as a form of self-expression and explore the visual arts in the galleries of the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art in this weeklong art workshop for transgender and gender diverse youth in grades 6-8 (ages 11-14). This week is supported by members of the transgender and gender diverse community of artists, educators, students, and allies with an intention of creating a welcoming space for budding artists to learn about viewing art as a method of self-reflection and creating art as a form of self-expression.
Camp Tuition $200 ($180 for JSMA Members)
