Sun, 10/23/2022 - 2:00pm

Reflecting on their lived experiences and professional practice, the artist will present current and past work encompassing over twenty years of a multidisciplinary creative practice spanning drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, and performance and poetry. This artist talk will center on self-design and transformation as consistent themes in Maldonado’s various approaches to image making. Audience Q&A to follow.

This program is presented in conjunction with Many Wests: Artists Shape an American Idea, one in a series of American art exhibitions created through a multi-year, multi-institutional partnership formed by the Smithsonian American Art Museum as part of the Art Bridges Initiative.
