The JSMA offers an active program for youth and families. Programs include art classes for preschool and elementary-age students during the school year and art camps during school breaks, an Interactive Discovery Gallery for hands-on exploration for visitors of all ages, Saturday Celebrations and Family Days, which feature art projects inspired by museum exhibitions, music and theatrical performances, and family-friendly tours.
