Kids Create ! Eugene Moves to the University of Oregon Campus for a Free Day of Art Activities and Free Bus Fare

Sponsored by LTD, guests can get free bus transportation to the event on Saturday, August 1, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

 

EUGENE, Ore. -- (July 27, 2015) – The 2nd Annual Kids Create! Eugene returns for another exciting day of arts engagement opportunities on Saturday, August 1, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the University of Oregon’s Memorial Quad. Organized by Travel Lane County and the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art, eleven local groups will be providing hands-on activities and performances through the day.

 

Kids and families are invited to engage in the arts through hands-on projects and performances.  Participants include: Ballet Fantastique, Ballet North West Academy, Emerald Art Center, Grrrlz Rock, Imagination International Inc., Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art, Lane Arts Council, Nearby Nature, Old School Eugene, Science Factory and Travel Lane County.

 

Lane Transit District Kids Create! Eugene is sponsored by Lane Transit District (LTD). Families can receive a free, family bus pass with a coupon available at: https://jsma.uoregon.edu/events/kids-create-eugene.  Exchange the coupon for a one-day bus pass for the whole family when you board any LTD bus or present as fare on the EMX.

Guests are encouraged to bring a picnic lunch and spend the day on campus. A full schedule of events follows:

About the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art

The University of Oregon's Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art is a premier Pacific Northwest museum for exhibitions and collections of historic and contemporary art based in a major university setting. The Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art is located on the University of Oregon campus at 1430 Johnson Lane. Museum hours are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesdays, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays through Sundays. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for senior citizens.
