It all started with a planned gift.

Almost 80 years ago, Gertrude Bass Warner bequeathed more than 3,000 works of art to the University of Oregon and her gift inspired UO supporters to build an art museum on campus. Since that time, many others have made special arrangements for the JSMA in their estate plans, and the museum has grown into one of our region’s cultural treasures.

Estate gifts lay the foundation for the future of the JSMA. Consider talking to a member of the University of Oregon’s Office of Gift Planning at (541) 346-1687 to learn how you can designate the museum in your estate plan.

They can help you understand a myriad of planned giving vehicles, including:

  • Planned gifts that pay you income (charitable gift annuity, charitable remainder trust)
  • Planned gifts that the JSMA can use today (outright, charitable lead trust)
  • Planned gifts to the JSMA after your lifetime (bequest, life insurance, retirement plans, retained life estate)
