Museums on Film: Museum Hours

When a Vienna museum guard befriends an enigmatic visitor, the grand Kunsthistorisches Art Museum becomes a mysterious crossroads which sparks explorations of the their lives, the city, and the ways artworks reflect and shape the world.  Directed by Jem Cohen (Austria/USA, 2012, 106 minutes)

The “Museums of Film” series exposes different aspects of contemporary museum theory and practice.  This series was organized in conjunction with Phaedra Livingstone’s Museum Theory course and funded by a JSMA Academic Support Grant.
