Mindful Looking: They Teach Love

Slow down, look closely, and connect with the vibrant work of Jeffrey Gibson in his exhibition They Teach Love, from the Collections of Jordan D. Schnitzer and His Family Foundation. Guided by the Art Heals ARCC framework (Attention, Reflection, Creation, and Connection) participants will engage in mindful observation, reflect on themes of identity, belonging, love, and community, and create a personal response through sketching or writing inspired by Gibson’s dynamic use of color, pattern, text, and materials. No prior art experience is necessary; this welcoming program emphasizes personal interpretation, well-being, and meaningful connection with art and one another.
