Mindful Drawing: They Teach Love by Jeffery Gibson and Collecting America: Recent Acquisitions

This hour-and-a-half mindful drawing workshop invites participants to slow down and engage in quiet observation and intuitive mark-making inspired by Jeffrey Gibson’s They Teach Love, from the Collections of Jordan D. Schnitzer and His Family Foundation and Collecting America: Recent Acquisitions. Through guided prompts and a focus on process rather than outcome, participants will explore the exhibitions’ colors, patterns, forms, materials, and themes as sources of reflection and creative inspiration. The workshop approaches drawing as a meditative practice that fosters presence, curiosity, and personal insight. No previous drawing experience is necessary; all materials are provided.
