Decompress with Art for University Students
Take a break and reconnect with yourself and others through guided conversations in the art museum, followed by art making in the museum's studio. This 90-minute workshop invites University Students from the University of Oregon and Lane Community College to slow down and decompress by engaging with the expressive landscapes in James Lavadour's Land of Origin exhibition. The session begins in the gallery with mindful looking exercises, encouraging quiet reflection and deeper visual awareness. Then, in the museum studio, students will create a unique landscape painting, drawing inspiration from both the artwork and their personal experiences. No prior art experience necessary; all materials provided. To register, contact us at artheals@uoregon.edu
