“Brass & Guts” Early Music Lunch-Box Concert

Musicking Conference performers will present a free, hour-long, early music concert in an intimate lunch-time setting. Come eat, listen, and participate in this lunch-box musicking experience.

The kaleidoscope of colors resulting from the combination of trombone and violin was known to Italian audiences in the seventeenth century. But today's audiences don't imagine this combination to work based on expectations of the modern versions of these instruments. We formed this ensemble to explore the surprisingly robust repertoire for this combination, which developed during chamber music's infancy.
